Problems with IRIS products

Featured Replies

I'm posting this here as opposed to the IRIS forums because more people read this, so I'm hoping to get better help (and I'm really impatient :( )Anyway, I recently purchased the A-10 and the F-22. The aircraft look great, but I'm getting a whole slew of problems:F-22- I'm getting a "probe heat" message, but I can't find the pitot heat switch in the manual- Unwanted music starts playing- I was on approach at around 200-250 KIAS and the gear would not deploy. This became a problem when the aircraft began sinking--I ended up crashing on the runway.- Cold and dark after loading a saved flightA-10- Virtual cockpit camera is underneath the Virtual Cockpit. Since I'm using EZDok, I tried panning back up, but I could only pan side-to-side and back and forth along the ground--not up and down. (this could be related to the EZDok camera, but it works fine on everything else, so I don't think so)Both- Sounds play after I select the aircraft, while the flight is loading, and while the sim is paused (but stop when FSX becomes unfocused)Any ideas? I've tried reinstalling.Thanks,boeing247

Shift-H is the default FSXAUX radio must be turned off. That switch is located on the right console. For the gear, I usually get down to 210-195 before deployment. As for the sounds while the flight is loading, thats an IRIS thing, I can't turn them off, either

Okay, thanks. Any ideas on the A-10 virtual cockpit?

I don't own EZDok, but I know that some camera angles just can't be moved, let me test on the A-10. You mean the preset Cockpit camera, right?Sorry, my camera is just fine, that's I can help you with, unfortunetly.

I'll try using the default FSX commands to move the camera.By the way, Shift+H didn't turn of the pitot warning. It flashed, but remained lit.Edit: I was able to put the camera in the VC. I realized that it was in fact an EZDok problem, so I copied the Camera entry from the F-22 and pasted it into the A-10, then just moved it appropriately.

  • 3 years later...

I am new to fsx and recently downloaded the iris a 10 from fspilot. I am having trouble installing it though the installer, it says that I don't have the proper software? I have downloaded tac-pac and currently running a win8, nvidia geforce, intel core7 dual processor, on FSX steam.

Any help please!!

FSX steam.

This could very possibly be your culprit. Not sure if the IRIS installers have been updated in 3-something years, so you might want to check on that.
