payware scenery

I am looking for a couple HD sceneries that are great in FSX. Right now I am considering FlyTampa St Maarten and FlyTampa Tampa Rebooted. Any other sceneries that I should look into?

Depends on your specs and where you frequent. (and what aircraft you want to use)

  • LatinVFR's Caribbean and South American sceneries have been a frequent stop for me and the NGX. I love them
  • FSDT's sceneries make for good stops for my NGX when it's clad in Southwest/Delta/American colors (or Alaska Airlines for their Hawaii scenery that rocks). They're pretty heavy on the frames, though.

I just rebuilt a computer to be able to handle heavy loads from FSX. I don't overclock it though just for the fact I'm not skilled in that department and I don't want to risk damaging the board. I have heard of some FSDT sceneries. Any in specific to look at. I usually fly in the US and sometimes the Carribbean. I haven't really venture to Europe or elsewhere.

If you wanna buzz around the Caribbean low and slow, FlyTampa has the Grenadines as well that go great with the St. Maarten package. Their Tampa is indeed very nice and FSDT has a nice Ft. Lauderdale Intl. You can build a pretty nice Caribbbean with just a few purchases and a whole lot of freeware scenery from here in the Avsim file library and PW Sceneries available fom http://www.strikingsoftware.com/.

Thanks for listening,
