FSX Sky Liney

Featured Replies

Hi i was just wondering if this was normal. Often at night or in the morning i notice the sky is quite liney where the colour changes. I have an Asus monitor with a nividia graphics card just wanted some advice.Kind Regards Chris.

Select anisotropic filtering either in game or in the video card control panel.

Use THIS guide for setting up Nvidia Inspector for use with FSX.

I have set up the nivida inspector as per the forum, the lines are when you look up between the sun and the darker skys. When i change the anistropic setting in FSX it doe not make a difference. Any idea.

And, of course, make sure that whatever resolution you have selected in the FSX graphics menu, is followed by x32 and not x16.Rich

Do you know if this is normal or not to see these lines. In the graphics page in the fsx menu i have set the resolution to 32.Chris

You shouldn't see lines, Chris. No. Make sure you've got "override application settings" selected in Inspector.

Sky color banding is normal on many older LCDs. On CRTs it is not. Not sure about on newer models of LCDs.
