February 16, 201214 yr Hey Everyone,I seached so if this is covered in another topic please redirect me...thanks!I have recently started to fool around and learn how to use AIFP and like it a lot but I cant figure out if there is a way to assign new a/c to existing flight plans. Here is what Im trying and what I have been doing over the years.......I have been using UT and it will let you assign a wide assortment of a/c for one type ie.... for Delta I can add the 727 to the MD88 flight plans and it will divide up the 727 and MD88 so both planes are now flying the MD88 routes, however UT assigns which planes fly what routes I think or I could add the 727,737,757 to the MD88 routes and now all 4 planes will fly the MD88 routes.Anyhow UT flightplans and a/c are getting to outdated for me and Im tooling around with ways to update select airlines, a/c and routes on my own using AIFP and then compiling the old ones out of UT and gradually getting away from UT for popular airlines. My question is in AIFP...........After getting the winter 2009/10 winter schedule and aircraft for Delta is there a way to add the 727/737-200 back into the fleet without making flightplans for them? For example if the MD88 flys from A to B 7x a week is there a way to put the 727 on the route tuesdays and the 737-200 on the route on thursdays? I already have those planes downloaded and ready to add if there is a way.I hope is makes scense and thanks to anyone who can provide a little guidance or suggestions!-Ben
February 16, 201214 yr Can't as described. One flightplan=one aircraft. Typcial flightplan for WoAI or AIG is weekly cycle. So if you want two aircraft to fly the route you would have to split the flightplan into 2 plans. Keep in mind the aircraft would be sitting around for a couple of days waiting for the next leg.If all you want to do is replace the aircraft used on a flightplan, first use the aircraft menu to add your new repaint (aircraft title) to the aircraft list, then find the flightplan and in the aircraft list box find and select the new aircraft you added for the existing one.Update the flight plan (you will see your new aircraft in the flightplan list. Then save all and compile.scott s.. February 28, 201214 yr I still use UT, but it bears no relation to how it ships out of the box.All my a/c are aardvark/evolve/djc/aim/aig/osp/tfs etcWhen I want to update say British airways i sinply delete all the existing assignments for BAW ( You cannot actually "delete" an original UT flightplam, but you can assign no aircraft to them). Then using flightplans from here or flightsim I create a new BA airline in UT and assign the aircraft. If I wanted to I could have concorde flying all BA's routes with a simple re-assign...5 minute job.I do actualy still have concorde flying in my FSim world... and VHHX instead of VHHH...guess i am just old fashioned.
