ok, well i built a new system couple months ago. But even with what i have doesnt seem to be putting out what it should.here's my specsAMD Phenom II X6 1055t proc. 2800mhz, 6 coreNvidia Geforce GTS250 1 Gig with latest drivers6gb DDR3 at 1333normal day on FSX i run UT2, GEXNA, UTXNA, and a Acars client. use FS real world weather. FSDT, PMDG, QW757,Level-dI've been threw many the post an tweaxs i can find just not sure why i cant get over 7 FPS in big areas. and even smaller airports im getting 10-14. once in the air im in the 22+ range. My setting are not maxed. only thing 100 is my AI provided by UT2 but i have the setting turned down inside of UT2 here's a copy of my i figured as much, still a noivce at building. i thought the 6 cores would help alittle more than my old dual core.

tried that link an the FPS limiter, the flight i did before this i got 4fps on takeoff got 15 this time and did not lose to much eye candy. thanks for the tip

Number of cores doesn't really matter to FS, it only uses one core anyway.That gfx card is on the lower end of Nvidia's product line, OEMs like it because they can get it for almost free ($50 or less) and offer the system with the Nvidia brand recognition.The Phenom II is perfectly capable, but that graphics card simply won't cut it.-- Dan

I would estimate that your cpu would be around 20% slower than an i5 2500K at the same core speed and much lower with the i5 oc to >4GHz. However, your rig should still be able to run FSX (albeit with modest settings), but you do need a better video card even a 550TI would improve things somewhat.RegardsPeterH
