I'm going to post here because the respondents in the vatsim forum tend to post the same thing over and over and none of those suggestions are working...Problem: Friend's Sqawkbox 4 installation for FSX won't display other planes (ie user planes). He can see the controller freqs and hear them and others, just can't see other planes.He's using Win XPx86. It was actually my old PC so I'm familiar with the proper setup...We tried:Checked to make sure AV software wasn't interferingDisabling aircraft shadowsAdding exceptions to firewall (ports)Disabling firewallAdjusting plane loading radius in SB4I tried accessing his router page but I couldn't because he didnt have the username and pass... so my last resort is to reset router to factory settings.Do you think it's a router issue? It worked fine for me when I ran vatsim/sb4...

I had the exact same thing, the only way i was able to solve it was I had to Uninstall my A/V which at the time i belejve was either norton or AVGI know it sounds extreme, but just try it as a test, you can always reinstall later.And yes i know your probably going to remind me that you disabled the A/V but i also did that and stil couldnt see other aircraft( I could hear them and talk to everyone, but couldnt see anyone in fs.) i had togo the extreme and unistall the A/V

I haven't tried actually uninstalling it... he's using Mcaffee which i dislike... so we'll give it a try first! Thanks for the suggestion!

WEll we tried uninstalling Mcaffe - no joy! Dang I was really hoping to avoid restoring the router to factory settings...
