assigning sids and stars

Featured Replies

Hello folks out there i have been using radar contact for several years will not fly without it.i have my set up to create flight plans through flightsim commander and radar contact will get a copy of my flight plan.So at the beginning of my flight i can assign a sid to the flight plan in Flightsim commmander and Radar contact will not have to do any directing me since i have loaded in the sid from the start .now its the star that that im not for sure how to make this work , i do not know what star i will need until i get directions from atc as to what runway i will be landing etc.How can i add the stars so that radar contact will not try to direct me .If i try to reload Radar Contact with the new FP and new star , it will start me from the beginning , instead of knowing where im at, which is on the other end. What am i missing .so the question is how to inject a star into radar contact at the closing of your flight.Thankls..................Robert

You can't insert the full STAR into RC. What you can do is include in your plan the common points of the selected STAR based on arrival direction. You can then take vectors or declare an IAP to the assigned runway and do your own navigation to the final intercept. You should find some sections in the attached document helpful even with FSC.
