No, don't overclock it.Just set AA & AF per Nick or Ryan's (PMDG forum here in Avsim) instructions.Try 8xS for AA. If it's too much for your card (check in clouds/fog), try something less demanding like 4xIf you've never run any AA you're gonna love it

Already followed the guide :).Now lets c how it performs.Have you also tried XP 10 and also with Nicks settings ?I think some performance gain has happened. and this is @KJFK (default) my all sets are almost high except autogen is dense and scenery is very dense and display is @1366x768 and AF=5.Going to try some flight and check.I tried with carenado 152 and manhattan X the lowest it went was 14 fps when viewing manhattan x. Should i reduce 8xs to 4xs ?

@dazz, I getting good fps with Carenado 152 with the default kjfk , and with carenado 152 with Manhattan X it pulls down to 14 fps when viewing the city but once look forward fps jumps back up. Should I go down on 8xs to 4?

That's because Manhatan X is quite a demanding scenery. Not a GPU thing probably, you'll just need to lower your scenery slider a notch or two there

Are you sure you need to?Before doing anything, check your temps.All you need is MSI Afterburner or EVGA Precision, I guess. Never overclocked a mobile GPU

The idle temps are @49-50cI just wanted to see how well it performs in XPX as on mid-high I pull 30-40 fps.In fsx I am getting beautiful fps and I have everything on max except water and special effects and traffic @50-60% using Bojotes / Nicks guide and the FPS limiter, but now I am planning on moving towards XPX.Okie I think I will let the GPU stay on factory and not overclock it.

AF=5 is that the AffinityMask=5 as in fsx.cfg it is 14.

You could try with AffinityMask=9 as well. If you are able to use BP=0 it gives better FPS than AM=5. Otherwise 5 and 9 give similar results. But I doubt that the mobile GPU is powerful enough to manage BP=0. AM=14 gives better texture loading, but lower FPS. It might also give faster load times but I guess the extra heat would lead to less Turbo boost and that would in turn cancel out any improvement
