February 23, 201214 yr Every time I fly the NGX I never seem to be able to get what I think are the right sounds. For some reason, whenever I'm in an external view the cockpit ambience seems to be playing in the background. This happens even though I have the relevent option unticked in the CDU to play in external view. I then have to increase the engine sound and that then becomes so loud I can no longer hear the ATC! I have played around for hours with this and eventually need to ask fellas, can anyone offer some help. I have the AsusP8Z68-V MB with Realtek audio and no external sound card. Cheers guys... February 27, 201214 yr Author Hmmm, sorted it out. It would seem that the sound has to be run in stereo mode for it to work correctly, well, at least on my system. I had always run it at 5.1 'cos I thought that Robert had said in a post that the NGX had been specifically developed for 5.1. Well, if it has, it doesn't work in my setup! But that's not a problem though, I now have sound that works perfectly. Cheers...
