RC4 - No AI Traffic and Very Slow Pilot Response

Featured Replies

Ho there all,I'm having some issues with RC4.3.The most glaring is that whenever I run it all AI traffic disappears. I don't hear it on the radios, I don't see it in the world, the AI views option isn't there, and nothing shows up on any traffic addons (PMDG transponders, EFB traffic on the moving map, etc.) I don't have any traffic addons and usually keep my traffic level at 40% but changing it now has no effect on whether traffic appears or not. I have the latest FSUIPC so I don't think that's it.The other issue is just how slow RC4 is to respond to input. After hearing from a controller or picking an option I'll press "1" or whatever and it takes a good 20-30 seconds to hear the pilot saying anything. The FO responds pretty much immediately and the controllers get back to him pretty quickly.Strange.Thanks for any help!Daniel

What are you using for traffic? 40% is a very low level. As far as chatter, do not user prerecorded chatter but do use AI chatter in RC and then select Interact with AI. This way you should hear chatter from ai on the same frequency as you such as on tower or departure or approach, etc. Choose the autotune option in RC for comms.RC does not generate AI traffic and only controls ai when you are on close final so ai runway encroachments do not occur. On final it should assist in preventing ai on final from overtaking you.Starting RC should not affect ai generated by FS or a traffic package.Top see what ai are doing you can place this free separate Traffic Look utility outside of FS. Just run it on a second monitor if you have it or alt-tab to it. This is not dependent on RC running but you can see if AI is affected when RC starts. Get it from:http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66136-useful-additional-programs/To make sure RC is speedy make sure in RC the display .txt option is disabled. Make sure you are not running an add-on that competes with RC for keystrokes. If you are using FSX then RC uses FSUIPC4 which then uses FSX's SimConnect module. That SimConnect pipe can get overloaded so check what is running.Response for CD asnd ATIS does take awhile while RC assembles those audio phrases.
