March 17, 200422 yr It seems FSD's forum site is down because I haven't been able to post there nor have I seen any recent post from anyone in a few days (or weeks). Anyway I just have to say most of the updates FSD has offered for FS2k4 (raindrops, clickable gauges, etc.) are great and top notch. Especially the Cheyenne (still can't tune radio's from within the VC)...;) The only problem I have is with the Seneca update. The VC updates are poorly done... No click spots on the overhead panel and most of the lower panel is still inactive (light's, avionics switches, etc.)... The Seneca is a beautiful plane and I hope this is not all FSD is going to offer for it. I'm really holding my breath in wonder of how the Commander is going to turn out. I hope someone from the FSD camp reads this and responds as to why the Seneca didn't receive that much attention.... March 17, 200422 yr Is there anyone out there that owns FSD's Seneca and has downloaded the latest FS2k4 update. Maybe I have a bad install or something, it doesn't make since all the other aircraft FSD has updated are more complete than this model.... March 17, 200422 yr No bad install I'm afraid. The only new feature I could find was that the levers are now controllable by the mouse. Very nice plane, but FSD didn't put the same effort into making the VC interactive as other developers have done. Mind you, I don't think they *have* to do that. After all, the plane was created for a previous version of FS. But it would have been fantastic if they had.Paul
March 17, 200422 yr Paul I have all their aircraft and they've put great effort into updateing the VC's of their planes. From the Navajo to the Cheyenne, all their planes have fully interactive VC's now (well the Commander's update has yet to be released). The only aircraft that still needs work is the Seneca..Your right in stating no developer has to update their aircraft, problem is FSD said they would and have. I'm just asking what happened to the Seneca??? I'm hoping they just uploaded a bad copy of the patch they release a few days ago. March 17, 200422 yr Like them or not, FSD is probably the developer that's most willing to update their models. All of their older models have had service packs to bring them up to the current graphics standards, and I also believe that they are the first payware developer to issue updates to the VC (raindrops etc.) made possible by the new SDK.- Oyvind
