What exactly are the "trial" aircraft?

In all honesty: that fact that you bought your last addon airplane in 2005 devaluates your opinion on the quality of the MS Flight airplanes quite a bit
I think you need to re-read my post and not come to conclusions based on misunderstanding what I actually wrote please. I never said I have not bought add-on aircraft since 2005. I said the last add-on aircraft I bought for $15 was back in 2005. I have bought quite a number of them since, priced individually at around 3 to 4 times that price. My point was that Microsoft are charging around $15 for an aircraft today that in my opinion is far better than any $15 aircraft I have bought elsewhere. And there no $15 payware aircraft on the market today (or indeed in the past) that even remotely compares in quality (in the way I perceive quality and for the things that matter to me). Others may and will disagree. It does not mean they are right and I think it is unfair of you to call my post unhelpful, but if you feel that way you are quite welcome to ignore them.

Ah, sorry, my bad! I stand corrected. I totally misinterpreted your post! And now I know what you meant I have no other option then to agree with what you said.

I think A2A planes are super cheap for what you get. The most realistic aircraft on the market and 1/2 the price of the Duke. I will admit I do not own the Duke but would if it was 1/2 price. I think over $30 is to much for any aircraft no matter what it does. Just my opinion, and I know people need to make money.

The only aircraft that is worth every penny would be the PMDG NGX I think.
