Flighing with turbulence

Featured Replies

Hi,At the moment im using a Logitech 3d extreme for Flight. I also used my Saitek config. But due to the turbulence the Maule is very hard the fly. Im rocking up and down not able to at least, trim the aircraft to an ideal position. As i take off the trim is neutral. AS i climb to say 2000 ft i encounter turbulence. What do i do to make the flight as pleasant as possible? Just keep hands on yoke and correct every bump or trim every bump out?

Asus Maximus Hero Vii // I7-4790K @ 4,6 // 2x8 GB Corsair Platinum 2400 // SSD OCZ 120 GB // Samsung pro SSD 500GB // 2 x 1 GB Western Digital Blue Raid 0
Saitek Proflight Yoke + Rudders + 2 extra throttle quadrants // Track IR 4.0 // VRinsight T&T Panel // Logitech 3D Extreme // Saitek X55//  1000 cables...

To be honest, I never experienced that much turbulence in any of my RL flights; yes in some layers of air, but during whole flight... not.

do as you do in rl. dont trim for the bumps. just ride them out. if it stabilises in a new attitude, then trim. otherwise you would tire yourself out.

Well, i have flown some missions and as i release the stick, suddenly my craft drops or rises hard to 2000ft/p or yanks hard to the left or right. I went from 2000 ft up to 12000 ft just to find some easy air but the plane just keeps yanking and banking. I have disconnected all hardware and tried with the keyboard but same results so i think its turbulence...

It is turbulence, just I think its overpowered a bit.
