March 20, 200422 yr I just download the Kansai scenery for FS 2004.Then i had airplanes in the buildings :-lol .So then I downloaded a AFCAD file but now I get no Traffic in one half of the Entire terminal. Is this because there isn't enough traffic to fill this up or is it a problem. I think its a problem because before i had traffic there but in the buildings. Any suggestions? Konrad
March 20, 200422 yr Konrad: Did you properly install the AFCAD file? Maybe it would help if you attached a screenshot of the terminal for us to see. Take a look at http://afcad.projectai.com For some AFCAD's -- our friends at PAI have developed a lot of the these, they may have one specific to your add-on scenery. If they have an AFCAD for you (be sure it fits your scenery!) just download it, and follow the instructions in the .zip Otherwise - you may have to create your own AFCAD -- but I'm no expert at that...Dan :) :+
March 21, 200422 yr Hi I got some Before and after pics of the airport.BEFORE:Airport after AFCAD:Any Ideas? Konrad
March 21, 200422 yr PS only the Big things are airplanes and the little things sticking out are Jetways. :)
March 23, 200422 yr are you sure you dont have two of the same afcads in your flight sim dir There are two type afcad file names and you only need one in your FS directory... under ut protocal( usally begins with FT1UT_**** ) and one under afcad protocal (af_****) with these two naming conventions it is easy to duplicate afcads which I believe you have since traffic only in one section ect...... When i add scenery i always place its afcad into that scenery's addon scenery folder that way when i search the scenery folder containing UT afcads i can spot the repeat offenders easy and can easily remove them.Hope this helpsSteve
March 23, 200422 yr There is also a useful utility in the library here that will also help to identify duplicate AFCADS. It's a small download with an .exe file.ScanAFD.zip is the file name.-GeorgeM at 5B6
March 23, 200422 yr Well my take on the problem isn't duplicate AFCADs. I bet its just a case of not very much AI traffic going to that airport. And the gates have an order which they are filled up. That AFCAD might not have the order randomly dispersed around the airport. Also it might have gate assignments and they only traffic you are seeing at that airport are those that fill up that area you see. You can check the AFCAD fle yourself yousing the AFCAD2 tool and see about the order/gate assignments and you can look to see how many airlines etc show up at that airport in MSFS. I bet not that many.
