Tips Coming From FSX

Featured Replies

I am coming from fsx and was having some troubles with looking around. Is there a locked spot view? Can I look around in the VC with my mouse?

In FSX you need Ezdok Camera, in FS9 you need Active Camera or Flight1 F1View Utility.

In Views > View Options you can uncheck "Gradual Transitions" which will give you the equivalent of locked spot. Save a flight in this configuration and make it your default flight, from then on any flight you load from the Create a Flight screen will inherit this setting.
Can I look around in the VC with my mouse?
Unfortunately no, but as Rafal mentioned there are 3rd party view utilities that can give you a similar effect. Also check out FSRecorder (in the file libraries) which has some customizable advanced view options. You can create custom views for spot and VC that you can cycle through similar to pressing the "A" key in FSX.Jim
