March 11, 201214 yr Right click the .cfg file, and choose to open with Notepad. You should be able to edit.Note: Always a good idea to backup your original cfg file to have in case you need it, should something go south...And btw, welcome to the forums! Don B

March 11, 201214 yr No, I'm trying to edit withen the .cfg file. What software are you using to edit it, then, if not Notepad?
March 11, 201214 yr Author Thanks again Don, it worked as advertised.RoboRay - I was using Free File Viewer and couldn't figure out how to use the edit feature.
March 11, 201214 yr Thanks again Don, it worked as advertised.RoboRay - I was using Free File Viewer and couldn't figure out how to use the edit feature.Glad you got it Ray, pretty much any file that is user editable like that, like xml or cfg you would use Notepad to open it. Once you do, Windows will remember that setting, next time you need to edit it, it should look like a notepad file and you only have to double click it.Have fun! Don B
March 11, 201214 yr RoboRay - I was using Free File Viewer and couldn't figure out how to use the edit feature.Oh, ok. I was just curious because Win7 doesn't have anything associated to .CFG files by default. Like Don said, once you tell Win7 to use Notepad to open it, you can set it to always open .CFG files in Notepad when you click on them.
