FA and PA panels not opening

Featured Replies

Hi Bryan,I have a small problem with opening the PA and FA panels. I can open the panels from the main FS2Crew panel but in the instruction manual it says that you can open the FA panel by pressing the "attend" button and you can open the PA panel by pressing the captains "PA" buttin. This does not seem to work. When I press the "attend" button I just get the usual ding dong sound and when I press the "PA" button it just lights up.Do I have a problem with my install or is this something that is on the hotfix? This is not a major problem but if the option is there, I would like to use it.Thanks

I have just tried by loading the 2D panel to see if that made a difference but it is still the same. I have checked the panel config and the FS2Crew panels are in place.

Hi Craig,I just personally tested and it worked for me.I have a new theory to work on...Open this file located here with NotePad:737NGX_Options.iniMicrosoft GamesMicrosoft Flight Simulator XPMDGPMDG 737 NGXDo you see this entry at the bottom?[sDK]EnableDataBroadcast=1Let me know if you see that entry.

Hi Bryan,Yes I have that option at the bottom.

Hi Bryan,Just to let you know that I have solved the problem and all is working well. In case anybody else comes across this problem this is what I did;1. Uninstalled the Button Version from the FS2Crew config manager and installed the Voice Version.2. Re ran FSX and loaded the NGX. It then asked me to trust the FS2Crew voice version panel, which I did and also the PMDG_737NGX_3.dll which I did. Started a flight and all worked ok.3. Uninstalled the Voice Version from the FS2Crew config manager and insalled the Button Version.4. Re ran FSX and loaded the NGX. It then asked me to trust PMDG_737NGX_3.dll once again, which I did. Started a flight and all worked okAll working great now.

Glad you got it sorted... you had me scratching my head there. Was the NGX the 'default' aircraft that you see when you load FSX?If so, PMDG recommends against that, as do I.It seems to create problem when trying to get FSX to load and "trust" new gauges. On my site, my default aircraft in the Free Flight menu is the Trike.I suggest everyone do the same to avoid problems like this.Cheers,

No, the default is the trike with the default flight as Friday Harbour. I can only assume that the FS2Crew installer did not properly replace the PMDG dll which I am assuming that you use to change the button config. I'm sure it will be one of those problems that we will never fully understand.

Hmmm, intersting....FS2Crew doesn't replace or touch any PMDG.dll'sWell, that's computers for you.Important thing is you got it working :Peace:Cheers,

I'm sure there is a little invisible man in mine connected up to the CPU. Sometimes he is in a good mood and everything runs well, sometimes he is in a bad mood and everything crashes (normally FSX after a long flight and I am about to land). Thanks once again for a brilliant product. I don't know how you guys do it, I tried to change make an nicer looking GCTS scenery the other day ready for a nice flight but that failed misserably, the terminal dissapeared completly.
