March 15, 201214 yr I am having problems with the profile editor, after a 5 hour fligh I got a CTD and the problem was the profiler. Please help me!!Best RegardsRicardo Very weirdI use Saitek X52 (first releases and now from 3 years the Pro) from ages and never problem .. and never read about your particular problemMore strange is that (at least in a normal usage as the profile editor is only run for edit or create a profile) the profile editor is not running when FS2004 is runningAre you sure it's not the profile launcher instead ?And also never had or read anything about problems with profile launcherWhat is the exact windows error message ?? (DLL .. etc ..)
March 15, 201214 yr Hi Ricardo,I have the X52 also. What I did was the driver install but not the profiler then I use FS9 to assign the desired functions etc. I have never had any problems. The profiler really is not required.Regards,Mel
March 16, 201214 yr Author I think that maybe what happened was that I did not load any profile and save it and the profiler was looking for one, I know that there is no profile for FS9 what a shame I like online flying and for me FS9 is the best platform for this porpose, I will try only using the drivers.Thank you for your help.RegardsRicardo
March 17, 201214 yr There is no profile for "FS9", profiles are for individual aircraft which you set up via the Profile Editor and "save as...". Your chosen aircraft is selected from the icon in the task bar,. You need a profile for each "type" of aircraft or if you desire you can save individual aircraft. Another way is to "save as..." single engine, jet etc.I use both Saitek X52 and Saitek Yoke depending on aircraft type and not had any real problems. When installing the program all parts , like magic mouse etc must be installed. Hope you sort your problemKind regardsEchofox
