PSS/Posky merged 777 trim for rotation

Featured Replies

Hi all, I have been using PSS/posky merge for a while. Everything is great but there is always one thing that bugs me. I just can't get the right trim for a good rotation and takeoff. I have tried to follow the trim setting suggested in PSS weight calculator, but it always gives a number that the aircraft wouldn't rotate at all. Later, I try to use a trim that is 1 higher than the calculator suggested value, but that's too much. I wanna know if anyone here have this experience before? and how you guys deal with that?Danny

If the merge is done properly you should be able to use the Load Manager and use the CG value it gives you.I have mine merged with the Overland/SMS model and it's pretty bang on even using derated values.

The simplest way would be to merge the PSS aircraft.cfg file and modify the contact points to fit the POSKY model. If the configs don't match in flying characteristics the calculated trim, fuel, etc aren't going to match the PSS tools.DJ

Yes, you must use the PSS777 panel AND the PSS .air file and aircraft.cfg file - also remember to modify the LIGHTS section as well as the CONTACT POINTS for the posky model.Trevor
