March 14, 201214 yr Part of the pre-flight PF flow is to set the parking brake but I always learned you shouldn't have the parking brake set while the chocks are in place which they normally are until short before pushback?I also noticed the FO switch the electrical hydraulic pumps on before pushback while I always learned you must not until after pushback and the towbar has been disconnected?

March 15, 201214 yr Author Thanks for the info about the brake wear pins, that was new to me.Regarding the elec hyd pumps and the bypass pin I thought normal praxis even when it has been installed was to not switch the elec hyd pumps ON until after p/b and you see the ground crew giving you the clear signal but maybe it's different for different countries/airlines.

If pushback is needed and the nose gear steering lockout pin is not installed then system A is off. If the pin is in pumps on. Damien WeekesCaptain 737NG / A319/20/21
