Did it Help ? Ahh Ok thanks for that. I don't know why they didn't just put it on the Start flight screen where you choose weather and time of day. It can hold it's own. It needs some refinements which are apparently being worked on and I've also pointed out a few other quirks and errors and provided some data to the developers to help. However that said the level d 767 to this day does have a couple bugs (to my knowledge,..could be wrong). But it's worth it to me just as long as they keep working on it. Regards PS. I like it enough to take it across the pond,.. Thank you, Tickets Sent.

The 1 and only thing I don't like do much about the xplane interface it the somewhat lack of details when start a flight. I'd like to choose the starting point instead of having to actually start then choose where to start..kinda like putting the cart before the horse type thing.

Anyone interested in trying smart co-pilot ?

Well, I've had some more time to "poke at it" and see what or how it does and i'm genuinely impressed. It's very good. I can point out quite a few "refinements" but it's actually very good. They're some bugs that need to be fixed yes,..but so far so good. I like it.

Hello again, Took the plunge and bought the 767. Before I go any further does anyone know if the developer can be found on the AVSIM forums ? The X-Plane.org forums are down atm. I must admit the 767 is a very nice aircraft and the best that I've flown in X-Plane, However there are some things I need to point out to the developer regarding the AFDS, the function of the modes and the behavior associated with them under certain circumstances. They're also a few annoyances (in my opinion) of these little helper tidbits the developer added that i'd honestly like to see gone or at least have the option of turning them off. I understand the thought behind it but i'd prefer the option on if i need that help or not because for me it actually takes away from the simulation. I currently putting together a list of bugs and inaccuracies I've found so far so i can send them to the developer.

Ok Guys, After going over both reviews again, and again, and yet again. I'm going to get it,..even though i'm still a little worried I guess. I think i'll be taking her across the pond this time around instead of the regulars. I remember countless crossings with the Lonny Payne 757 then the 767 Pilot in command and the Level D 767,..those were the glory days so to speak lol. Wow i feel old But i did prefer that kind of flying. Thanks to each one of you for your input into this topic. I'm kinda hooked on X-Plane at the moment, it performs and looks soooo much better than P3D, and it's got a different "feel" which is quite refreshing. Do you guys have experience with the 757 as well ? How does it stack up ? Also found this smart co-pilot thing. Anyone try it ? Regards

Would you say it's more of a complexity level of the Airbus X or the Level D 767 ?

FlightFactor 767
Have they changed that weird thing with the air stairs coming to R1 instead of L1 ? Also in watching some videos of the 757 and the 767 they're a few annoyances I've noticed. My intention was to use this A/C for the CTP event on April 2nd.

Thanks Will, I've sen that review already. I wanted some other opinions before I take the plunge. It's almost as expensive as the PMDG stuff so wanted to be sure before I get it.

Hi Guys, I'm thinking of purchasing the FF767-300ER however as I've never really used X-Plane before so i don't know much about it, however i'd like to know how it compares to something like the Level D 767 systems wise. All opinions welcome. Regards

No Worries ! How do you get the EFB to receive the data from P3D/ FSX (i'm assuming they work the same) ? Would you mind elaborating a bit on how you make P3D/FSX/X-Plance talk to the EFB please. I'd like to try it. Jeppesen FliteMap & Flitedeck Regards

[07MAY15] Detailed discussion of resolved 777 VAS leak...
I've been a silent member of this forum for almost a decade,..But I have to agree, the scenery takes up way too much VAS and it's become extremely frustrating which i think is making this hobby more of a chore and not a source of enjoyment (at least for me). Now i recently had to reinstall P3D because I got so frustrated with this OOM thing I actually wanted to throw the PC out the window LOL. I have to say though that since i've reinstalled I used only the PMDG 777, Orbx Global, REX4 and Activesky NEXT my OOM issues have disappeared completely and flying between to fairly large airports with almost everything turned up, Not to the maximum but almost I no longer have any VAS issues,.. The only difference in setup was Orbx Vector (disabling it didn't help much). I haven't put it back on and seeing that everything works great now on pretty high settings meaning it looks good. I don't think i will be putting it back on again either.I think we as users get a little carried away with all the nice looking stuff forgetting that the box is almost full as is so,..sooner or later the bottom is going to fall out. I also think that some scenery developers aren't putting enough of an effort in to keeping the VAS at a minimum. I remember when FS2004 used to make people jump for joy because it was so amazing to look at. But Is it really that we need Ultra HD and all that other stuff for the sim to look good and flow smoothly ? I for one think not but to each his own,..Every time a developer comes up with some new HD something we get excited and we want it forgetting the toll it's going to take on the sim, and the overall experience. So maybe scenery developers can put a cap so to speak on what they want to achieve because to be honest alot of this stuff isn't needed for the sim to look "real" and work within that and leave room for other stuff if not you'll always be rubbing shoulders and pushing the sim so much it'll result in a huge disappointment for customers. Just a thought I had regarding this whole thing. I'm not pointing anyone out or trying to create an argument here,..I'm not complaining about anyone,..I'm just saying these OOM errors we never as prevalent as they are now..at least not that i know of,..

Hey guys, I wanted to know if anybody has created custom viewpoints for the PMDG777 in P3D. I'm not referring to EZDOK i'm talking about the built in views within P3D itself. Every time i create a custom view by using the menu (right click and go to custom camera) when I reopen the sim it's gone. Is there any way that i can add additional views other than the custom camera ? Regards

"Lights and Doors" command in V1.5
I think the issue here is that the option is Automatic door arming and disarming, now the flight attendants automatically arm the slides and then you give the command to arm slides which will disarm them, then when turning to the gate you give the command to disarm slides which opens doors. Try checking to make sure that during pushback that giving the command to arm slides again does not disarm them. If you want to make that call the "777 DOOR ARMING/DISARMING" should be off. Regards

FO preflight flows
Yes, it's a specific company SOP. On airplanes with FMC U10.7 and earlier, after flaps and slats retraction is complete, select VNAV or set the desired climb speed in the MCP speed window. Before selecting VNAV, flaps should be retracted because VNAV does not provide overspeed protection for the leading edge devices. With FMC U10.8 and later, VNAV can be engaged anytime because VNAV provides overspeed protection for the leading edge devices. More of a reminder to prevent damage the leading edge devices.

FO preflight flows
Yes it is, Looking at the latest Boeing FCOM i have its there, looking at PMDG FCOM it's not, Looking at my company and other companies I've flown for it's there in some others its not. So it's up to you to do it or not as far as your virtual company SOP are concerned.
