March 16, 201214 yr Hi all,I try to search for this question, but no luck, nothing is Carenado manual either. I am not sure if this is a known issue, here goes:With engine running, I tune the radios to match tower frequency, and the other with ATIS. Switching radios back and forth has no sound whatsoever from tower or ATIS. Can I do that without first opening ATC window?I am a newbie with FSX, so perhaps this is a dumb question :Big Grin:Thanks Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system. March 16, 201214 yr Yes, you can set your radios to the correct frequency without first opening the ATC Window. Depending on the plane you are using (you didn't say), make sure there isn't a volume/mute switch that you need to turn on/off and that the Avionics Power is powered on (I know it should be on to be able to tune the radios, but if you are using a GPS that is powered separately you could set it and not hear anything). I am flying the Carenado Bonanza F33A. I just tried again today. Battery on, Engine started, then avionics on. Tune the radios, I think I made sure that the speaker button on the radio is on. No sound until I open ATC window. Up until now I always use the ATC window, and never notice this "effect" before. Vu Pham i7-13700K 5.2 GHz OC, 64 GB RAM, RTX5090, SSD for Sim, SSD for system.
