osm2xp and openstreetmap trees

Featured Replies

Sorry for the noob question im new to X Plane.Ive managed to get buildings and street lights into X Plane 9.70 from openstreetmap but I never see any trees, unless I download and install someones elses work.Hope you camn help thanks.Ive got opensceneryx installed and the paths in osm2xp seem to be correct, im not getting any errors and the scenery loads ok, just no trees, even though osm2xp tells me its found a forrest in the scenery and the build is successful.

Problem solved
Could you tell us how you solved it, so others may learn. Thanks,Chuck

Chuck, I don't know exactly what Fuzz did, but it was more than likely the setting in OSM2XP to exclude forests. I have been caught a few times myself with this setting. Make sure it's not selected, if you want to see the trees.Glen

I was using the free cam to check the scenery not realising that it didnt load the scenery around the camera when you get a few miles from the plane, but it was loading the buildings so I didnt suspect the draw distance.
