March 21, 201214 yr Hi all,Probably a stupid question, but I've done a search and can't find the exact answer I need.I am about to upgrade my whole PC. I shall be totally gutting it, replacing mobo; CPU; case and CPU water cooler, and will obviously be re-installing Windows, FSX etc etc.Do I, as I have to do with some non-sim software (Adobe CS for instance), have to uninstall the product (and choose any de-activation routine if offered) or do i get a set number of re-installs before I need to get in touch with PMDG.I have already uninstalled and re-installed NGX once (SP1)Many thanks in advance, bestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
March 21, 201214 yr There is no deactivation process for pmdg products. Just reinstall normally & enter the license key when prompted. In the off chance you exceed the limit, all it takes is a support ticket to get your activations reset.Edit: Do remember to click "more options" during the fsx install and put it anywhere besides C:Program Files (x86) and to run all installers as admin. that could save a lot of headaches farther down the line. March 22, 201214 yr Author Thanks, guys..Ken, I never install FSX on the C: drive, anyway..it has its own Raptor (soon to be an SSD!), and I don't use UAC, either..And Ryan..that's very kind of you, thanksbestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte
March 22, 201214 yr I didn't really think you did, but it's worth mentioning in any reinstall discussion if only to remind others.I'm sure your upgrades will go smoothly : ) Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
