March 30, 200422 yr Simsoft I don't need a tutorial, I need a patch... In this aircraft's current state, it's almost impossible to land her let alone fly her. We at least need the 1.4 patch and all this can come later. Why have a manual for something that doesn't work (or at least work as advertised)??? March 31, 200422 yr I bought it when it was released and asked for a refund because of issues/etc..They still haven't patched it yet???Good Lord.Ark Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
March 31, 200422 yr >Simsoft I don't need a tutorial, I need a patch... In this>aircraft's current state, it's almost impossible to land herIn that case, you are not flying the aircraft properly. The product is stable with minor issues only. In fact, it is one of the better airplanes/panels out there.Best thing for you to do is read and understand the tutorial.Ray Keattch
March 31, 200422 yr The product is up to the 3rd patch and is a joy to fly. It is up to the Dreamfleet, Captainsim level and just below PMDG.The OP does need a tutorial as I have no major issues with the A310 at all.Ray Keattch
March 31, 200422 yr Dillon,I have the feeling that most of the times you post your concerns/questions in the wrong forums...Simsoftworkshop has a support forum, maybe you complain over there? However, if you take time and browse the SSW support forum you will get the answer why they did not yet released the Patch 1.4. And by the way, is it a crime to release a turorial first? This time they wanna do it right and I appreciate that very much. I also belong to their customers who is waiting on a flawless product since the release...but I am patient....oh no, this time I will not support your lazyness and cut and paste the answer over here.___________________________Best Regards,Bodo M
March 31, 200422 yr Bodo, I am quit offended by your comments here. As a paying customer of both you and SSW's work (which I bought twice by mistake and didn't ask for a refund as a show of support) there shouldn't be a problem voicing concerns about a product I own. Bodo if you yourself go to SSW's forum you'll see comments from me congratulating this team on the work they've done so far. Every comment I have to voice about a product doesn't have to be on their forum if I would like input from many of the people who visit the Avsim forum. I posted here to get everyone's opinion. Just the same way I did with the question concerning your product RFP.Bodo I own your product, have communicated with you many times in the past (look over your forum history) and have followed your work for years. I think you've forgotten your own loyal customer in a rush to get offended because I posted a question about your product here. I didn't want to go to your forum with my question as I wanted opinions of average people as to what their impressions were to your latest update. Many people here aren't hard core RFP users and some of the things you put under the hood many could care less about (on the flip side many of us do care) FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
March 31, 200422 yr Why should you be offended, you have openly bashed a number of payware developers on the forums.Sure, you are allowed your opinion, but so is everyone else, and to be honest with you, the A310 in its current state is good, not excellent, but good, it can only get better.I recommend you go through the tutorial, and you will find it all works.Dan.
March 31, 200422 yr there's nothing wrong with voicing opinions Dillon, but you voice your (mostly negative) opinions in the wrong place.that you are one of Bodo's customers does not mean Bodo can't comment.it's not like you are unsatisfied with RFP right?i think his comment adds, and yours doesn't.furthermore,i think you DO need a tutorial,a "how to think before i post" kind of thing.you are harming the developer, because he released a tutorial?....right.kind regards
April 1, 200422 yr Although the SSW aircraft is not "perfect", (Don't know if any are), it is very flyable as it is. I am beta testing the SSW bird right now and is getting much better. I am hopeful that when the 1.4 version is issued, it will be on par with the PMDG 737NG and the RFP 747 which I feel are the two best sims out there by far. Eugueni at SSW has made some errors in posting "drop dead" dates for update releases but I do believe his intentions are good. I know with the beta testers, he is up all hours of the night (Moscow time) posting new betas, comments, etc. He made a good move by adding Dmitri to his group for PR. I think he is less likely to put his "foot in his mouth" as far as dates go:)Dillon, I have to agree with Bodo that it doesn't serve any purpose to slam SSW about the tutorial. I proof read the tutorial before issue and tried to "reorganize" some of the wording to improve the English translation a little. I know I'm very glad to get the tutorial. It helps in understanding the systems a great deal. And by the way, it works great with the current beta.
April 1, 200422 yr I wouldn't want to fly this aircraft on vatsim - when it turns (with AP engaged), it loses altitude - independent of the modes engaged. BTW: Quite funny low-speed performances as well... but the systems-simulation (and especially the CDU) is really good - except the autothrottle, which reacts far too late.Stefan Bergert
April 1, 200422 yr Author Hi,Some time ago I posted the link below.Just scroll down the thread, and you will find the tweak details.http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchFor me this tweak works great. And I don Staffan
April 1, 200422 yr Thanks Staffan...maybe I'll try it later.BTW: Which MD-11 Panel Team are you on? Didn't know there would be a new MD-11 panel coming (except the one from Bill Grabowski...but that'll take time and time and time)...?Stefan
April 2, 200422 yr Author Hi,That is the very panel I am testing. :-) And yes,...it will take some time before it is released,...but well worth the wait. ;-)Fly safe, Staffan AhlbergSweden/Stockholm/ESSAMD-11 Panel Team - Beta testerMy specs are:Dell Dimension 4600 P4/3.0 Ghz512 Mb DDR333 Dual channel memory128 Mb ATI Radeon 9800 ProCatalyst 3.9DirectX 9.0E171FPb Flat panel monitor 17"240Gb (2x120) 7200rpm HD Staffan
April 3, 200422 yr You must be really lucky :-)Could you or Bill maybe show some work-in-prog screens or mention some features (FMC, autoflight, etc.) or is it still all too much top-secret?Stefan
