March 22, 201214 yr I was trying to load a FSC Flight Plan from KSAN (San Diego) to KSFO (San Francisco. Problem is, the MD 11 FMC says that KSAN is not in the data base. I tried the same plan with the 737NGX and the 747-8. No problem. Flight Plan loaded perfectly. I also tried a house livery and a McPhat livery thinking maybe something was awry there but the same thing happened. Not in data base. I reloaded the current Navigraph Airac (1203) with the same results. I know that airport is there but cannot figure out why the MD11 won't recognize it as being there.A bit later I tried to load a KLAX plan and the same thing happened. It said that KLAX is not in the data base.I'm pretty sure that when Navigraph loads the PMDG data it does so for all the aircraft.Anyway, stumped again. This is the only aircraft I'm having problems with. I did recently re-download and re-install the aircraft - about 2 weeks ago and had no problems loading flight plans.Jack Fentress
March 22, 201214 yr I'd check the MD-11 options menu. There is an option to limit the number of airports that the MD-11 can operate at. If the setting is higher than the longest runway at LAX or SAN, the airport won't show up. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
March 22, 201214 yr Author Well Kenny, you win the Alfred Einstein award of the day. That was the problem all right. The runway length was set at 10,000ft. and after I changed it to 3,000ft, all troubles disappeared.Thank you very much for your prompt and helpful response. Now we still have to figure out why this aircraft, and only this one, has an offset to the right when on final to KSFO.Jack
March 22, 201214 yr Well that is a prestigious award for me.I would set the length to 6,000 for MD-11 operations. 3,000 isn't a lot of room and it'll take a hell of a explanation to your base CP why he can't use a multi-million dollar asset. For the offset, ensure that the fuel is balanced, and your controls are calibrated. There is also a magnetic variance update in a sticky on the PMDG general forum that will update the mag. var. in FSX. Kenny Lee"Keep climbing"
March 23, 201214 yr Lol...Nothing like flying a fully loaded freighter into a 3,000 ft runway and realizing at the 2,500 ft marker you zigged when you should have zagged...or...Sum'n-a-b***h flew in, Sum'n-a-b***h'll fly out... Daniel Fernandez
