March 23, 201214 yr Hi, I would like to know if the below issue is a known problem and if there is a solution for this, have tried to find some related posts but no success...It seems that the plane, for some reason is not initializing and some gauges are distortedThe issue appears almost every time the NGX is loaded and can only be solved loading another plane first or initializing the flight several times. March 23, 201214 yr Are you loading the ngx ontop of a different livery of the same kind? I.e. loading airtran -700, the swa-700 Tyler St. Peter Specs- i7-950 OC@ 3.4Ghz, Asus P6TSE, ATI HD5770, 750W PSU, Water cooled, Hitachi 1TB HDD
March 23, 201214 yr This has come up before, but for the life of me I can't remember the cause. I think it may be loading one ngx on top of another, as already mentioned. Make sure your default flight has one of the stock planes selected, like the trike or Cessna. You don't have to start the flight with it, this is just so the preload isn't a complex addon. Then select the ngx flavor of your choice & click "fly now" Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
March 23, 201214 yr I had this problem too last week. Took me 2 days to solve and even after completely removing and reinstalling the PMDG it didn't fix it. I finally worked out the problem was I changed the ATC tail number of a couple of my NGXs during an online session Even when then flying in free flight afterwards where the ATC tail number is not an option the problem persists. This has the effect of removing the ID that it needs to run the panel initialisation setup. I reported this to PMDG and they are looking at ways to fix it in the future.Hope this fixes your issue. March 23, 201214 yr Author thanks for your replies guys, appreciateddefault FSX plane is not the issue, always loaded with the trykeGraeme, does this mean the tail number should not be the same as for other liveries? don t understand how the solution would look likecheers Oscar Vieitez X-Plane 10 & P3D
March 24, 201214 yr The tail number of each livery is different i.e for the British Airways it is G-VABA. The tail numbers are set by PMDG are in the ATC tail number menu which can be accessed in the multiplayer preflight menu. The problem occurs when you change the tail number from this default. I did this on my during an online ATC session. If you have changed any of these tail numbers you will have problems with that aircraft. You need to change them back to the defaults. You can find the default tail number by looking at the name of the ini file in each livery directory i.e. G-VABA.ini Graeme Brown

Basically I am suffering the same kind of problem after a clean install. And depending on the day, weather, or even mood of my comp, the NGX won't start. It wont initialize. And EFIS screens will remain blank. I guess this is a post SP1C bug. I have another friend with the same problem. And as far as I know it is something linked to LIVERIES. Might be the plane or atc numbers, but really unsure. More help would be appreciated. Thx Guys
