Quaint and Curious Volumes of Forgotten Lore

While preparing for a trip later this week, my wife found a bunch of old suitcases up in the attic, and decided to get rid of them. I took them downstairs and went through to see if there was anything of value or any incriminating evidence, but found only this old baggage tag, probably from the last time we used the bag:Midwaybagtag.jpg?t=1332705342Midway last flew in 1993. These were old hard-shell Samsonite bags, which used to be popular but nobody uses anymore.

Cool stuff, Its crazy working at the airport, I still see bags with American West tags and other carriers that didnt make it. Sad to see but I guess thats how things work.

You were in my neck of the woods! I remember Midway, though I was young. I used to watch those noisy DC-9s from the observation area at RDU --back when having a boarding pass wasn't necessary to enter the concourse.

It was a fly-through. We live outside of Boston, and we were visting the in-laws in Florida, landing in West Palm Beach. I'll have to save this. It may be from our baby daughter's first flight. She just turned 21.
