April 2, 200422 yr HiHas anyone got any ideas why the my water textures have a "tiled" effect as shown below. I have the water effects setting set to high - the textures seem fine i just seem to get these large straight lined tiles appearing!!!Many thanksGary http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/69673.jpg
April 2, 200422 yr I get that also, I don't know why either :-hmmmI have my water effects set to high, and I also have Pete Drazzof, Lynn & Bill Lyons, Daniel Buechter and Ed Truthan's enhanced water textures installed (waterzone.zip)
April 2, 200422 yr hi i am pretty sure that it has something to do with the visibilty.i used to have this effect too but since i changed the vis its gone..i also had this problem due to my lack of ram so in distances FS reduced the quality of textures to keep up the fps..try a lil and lock the fps to a certain point mine is locked at 30.and it works perfectly now with almost 1.3gb AI Traffic.bglbest regardsSascha J.FlightCraft CEOwww.flightcraftdesign.de.vuback in buisness

April 5, 200422 yr Gary, I have the same problem. Are your "waterzone textures" add on textures, and how did you unistall them, and what cd are the orginal water textures on. Thanks, Bob
April 6, 200422 yr BobYes, the waterzone textures were an addon. You don't actually have to unistall them, you just overwrite them by re-installing the original textures. These are located on disk 4 as a CAB file that has to be decompressed using something like winrar Once decompressed, the locations match those within your working fs9, ie, fs9sceneryworldtexture. Just one extra thing, there's also a file named oceanheightfield.bmp that has to be re-installed in the fs9/texture directory. Gary
