GE Pro V2 issues Win7 64

Featured Replies

Posted on this issue in the GEPro Forum but unfortunately only got a link to Microsoft articlewhich does not resolve the problem entirely.Bought this utility very recently and very happy with the overall textures improvement on the sim. However, having serious issues as regards the weather option. Here is the background info.I have 2 PCs, the sim runs on one, everything else on the second using widefs and Active Sky Evolution. When program was installed the widefs option was ticked in the configuration settings. When selecting Wx Control and the option to import and decode the latest weather I clicked the yes optionand got the 339 error informing msinet.ocx not found or registered... downloaded this file placed it in thesyswow64 folder and correctly registered it. After restarting GEPro and reselcting the Wx Control another error, this time the comctl32.ocx, once again downloaded this and registered it.Third time opening the Wx Control no more ocx errors but instead this: ASv6- Error initializing - Check your INI file!after presing OK another warning saying that it has detected that AS is running over a network and to ensurethat FSpath is correcxtly set in the ASv6.ini file. Then it offers me to identify FS & App Data directories. Then the next time Wx Control is started all works well until I double click on a flight plan to select it, at whichpoint GEPro crashes because of module MSVBVM60.dll which is in the syswow64 folder and is also registered. Also did run the MSVBVM60.exe file via the Flight 1 website. But it still crashes. Finally as a last attempt, removed the program from remote PC and installed it on FS PC and had exactly all thesame errors and crashes.Questions are:Where is the ASv6.ini file. Did a complete search on my drive and none was found.Anyone know how to solve this MSVBVM60.dll issue?Much obliged for any advice.

You won't find an ASV6.ini file since you are running ASE which uses the ASE.cfg file found in C:\Users\(usename)\AppData\Roaming\HiFi\ASE on Win7 systems. If you are running Win7, you must run GEPro from the right click "run as administrator" and have UAC turned off or you may encounter permissions issues.DJ

You must have the view system files option on to see/find an .ini file. Please note that GE Pro will run under Win7 64 as that is what I use.

Thanks for the replies. So far I have managed to get GE Pro to run and to download weather, however still getting the MSVBVM60.dll error when trying to load a FP. I'm very conversant with Win7 and there are no permission issues withany of the folders, also always run in admin mode and UAC was turned off at time of OS install.regards
