March 27, 201214 yr If you have never played Little Big Planet on the PS3, what makes it unique is that it lets each user create their own "world" missions that are then uploaded to a central server. Then everyone else can connect and choose to play that persons mission and rate it. The developer gives you tons of tools and flexibility to make really creative and unique "puzzles". This approach has created a popular community, kept the game fresh and compelling.I am not a fan of Flight at the moment, but if they would implement something like this I would probably jump all over it. Imagine everyone being able to create custom missions and goals, then store them on a central server for the community to rate and play. Plus in addition how about allowing non-childish type missions? Like running drug interdiction, customs surveillance missions or reposses a plane?
March 27, 201214 yr I'm all for having the ability to create missions like we've been able to do with FSX (I use IMM and FSX Mission Editor). Giving end users more of a hand in the creative process can only improve the likelihood of Flight's longevity.
March 27, 201214 yr I think that is a great idea. I would love to have a mission editor and i am sure it would help Flight's popularity big time.I hope MS reads this :)Cheers
March 27, 201214 yr Mmm, It is exactly what made FS so popular, and created this great big comunity of fans. You were able not just to create missions, instead, you were able to create sceneries, reacreate "your world" ( the place where you live), your favorite airplane, your custom texture. For instance, everytime I bought a new version of FS, I sadly found out that my home airport MROC was not detailed, then I did it for 2000, 2002, 2004, and shared it with everyone on the web, so they could also have the same experience I had, and expanded and better experience. All that, has gone with Flight ( ok, ok, at least at this time). Costa Rica's Flight expansion pack, mmm probably will never happen.
March 28, 201214 yr I totally agree, I think that Flight developers totally underestimate how much users created content can help sell a product in parallel to DLC (and I'd say better than DLC), and I think that it's even more central to flight sims than other genres. Besides, user created missions would directly encourage DLC sales if user could create awesome content that uses the DLC indeed.
March 28, 201214 yr Commercial Member I am not a fan of Flight at the momentThen why do you spend so much time posting on these forums? Kevin Miller 3D Artist and developer

March 28, 201214 yr Author if user could create awesome content that uses the DLC indeed. That's an even better idea for DLC. Sell tools, textures and objects to help create cool missions.
