TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD setting

Featured Replies

Hi,I am just wondering if it is still necessary to set TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 under [GRAPHICS] in the fsx.cfg. It was recommended before SP1c I think. Now there is nothing to read about in the intruduction_manual.

With kind regards

No, it's not - we were mistaken about its function in the earlier versions of the manual. It only affects scenery objects like clouds, not the aircraft.

Set it to whatever your scenery requires - if you have REX, AS2012 etc that'll be 2048 or 4096 depending on what you selected. Some of the Orbx stuff I believe requires it as well.

HelloI've just met a problem with the RYAN AIR LIVERY to go to LOWI via EHAM.In VC all the levers (speed brakes, brakes, so ando so..) and knobs (TCAS,transpondeur...) have desappeared.Where is the problem?

Ryan, so I understand it has no effect on VC textures quality / resolution and it doesn't matter here if I set it to 1024 or 4096? ;)All best,

Adrian

It does have effect on aircrafts that has high res textures like macphat´s. You can see the difference very well.
