ASE B655 Fog Layer

Featured Replies

Hello!I have set my ASE for IFR conditions:Fog layer generation ONDisable Haze Layer ONEnable Visibility Graduation and smoothing ONGraduation Ceiling 5000 ft.I am climbing out, in 2000 to 3000 ft ASE make the fog away, and ASE increase visibility to the settings form max surface vis (my Setting 20 Miles)In height of 5000 ft ASE makes the max visibility (my Setting for Upper 30 Miles).ASE depict also the Fog layer when the Station have Fog, remember: Fog Layer Generation is ON.BUT NOW THE PROBLEM: the Fog Layer (little Stratus) is ALWAYS in 9000 Ft !Fog Layer should be in the altitude, where ASE makes the Fog gone (2000 to 3000ft), or in setting from graduation ceiling...can you make this true in the next build?thanks, Alti.

Hi,Fog layer is injected at about 500ft AGL, not 9000ft. Something else is happening here. Please open a support ticket with details (log, screenshots, etc.) and we can investigate this for you. Please be advised that low cloud layers are problematic in FS and will not always show up thick and restricting visibility as we would all like them to, so this may be something we cannot "fix". In addition ASE lacks several fog layer enhancements that we've implemented in AS2012 to improve things a bit... But please provide details in a ticket and we'll take a look.

Hello Damain, thanks for Answer,so, my Stratus in 9000 ft can be a normal stratus, and not the fog Layer? In 500ft AGL i have never seen any cloud. I´ve set the status to 0 in fs9-options filethe Stratus in 9000 ft are gone... (it looks better without stratus).lgalti
