I have tried everything. I am currently in the process of reinstalling fsx. I also have prepar3D and I am trying to get that installed to. Thank you for the tips I will reply back when I have finished with an answer if it's fixed or not.

Guys,

Please don't get into replacing files - this isn't normal. His case is the only one I've seen and I'm quite positive the NGX doesn't trigger some default FSX sound file like that. I don't have this sound and neither does anyone else besides him.

Jack - that was my best guess too but he says he unplugged all controllers and it didn't stop...

The NGX triggered that nasty default fuel pump sound on my installation. That sound doesn't tick however so not relevant to the problem at hand. A corrupted FSX sound file might be the problem though so his reinstall might fix it.

I had this problem when trying to use ProSim 737 with the NGX (just as a vain attempt to offload displays, not to control the plane). When I loaded up the ProSim MCP as an experiment, it kept clicking the A/T arm switch on and off, constantly... Maybe something similar?

Old post yes. Solution is to switch to MS aircraft like cessna, switch off fuel pump, return to ngx, clicking gone.
