FMC DAT FLT PLAND

Featured Replies

Is there a way to send a complete FLight Plan I enter into my FMC on to someone else to use as a flight also, and is there a way to store my flight plans as a company flight plan for future use.

Thanks

Joe Restivo

If you're talking about flight plans you've saved in your FMC in the NGX, then yes, it is from my experience. They'll be saved in this folder: \FSX\PMDG\FLIGHTPLANS\NGX

You can even use flightplans from the very first 737 made by PMDG years ago. When I was flying for my old VA, I used to download the flight plan for the PMDG 737, compared them to the newest plan and eventually used it if it was still up to date.

Thanks for the quick reply. I looked in the folder and only see one flight, what is the proceedure to use to save any future flight plans in this folder.

In your FMC after activating the route (When finished, click ACTIVATE, then press the EXEC(ute) button). This will save it in the named folder.

I recommend saving your route without SID's and STARs and without any selected runway- Not a big deal, it's just that when someone else loads the flight, or even you at another day, the weather will probably have changed and the runway will eventually not be the correct active runway for take off / landing, forcing you to take another RWY and another SID/STAR. By leaving the SID's and STAR's and RWYs out, you can save the flight plan only and modify it easily later on when loading the plan.
