April 17, 201214 yr Author OK guys! After many attempts I still have problems with the game! I have used FPS limiter but the game won't get over 20FPS and on busy airport's 15FPS. Do you think it could be something wrong with my PC, I have O.C. my CPU to 3.6Ghz with stock voltage, and FS2004 only get 2-3FPS more. How can i test my PC to see if something is faulty, maybe is getting low voltages or something, because I don't think that my rig can't handle FS2004 at maximum grafic with hy FPS! I have tried different drivers for my grafic card to no effect, I have changed bios settings to default, I have format my PC, switch my antivirus, O.C. my CPU,stop useless programs in task manager, nothing works, what could be wrong????? FSX at full grafic has 18FPS with no tweaks, same as FS2004, that is strange! :Hypnotized: Maybe I have duplicated files in game, can this be the cause, how do I find out??? And last question, how can I set Process Monitor to see if FS2004 looks for missing files? Something very important to know, before I begin to add files and addons to the game every think works as smooth as silk!!!!! April 17, 201214 yr Hello fellow simmers! I'm new to this forum. I have a big problem, I can't run FS2004 smooth any more, I don't know why. I have formated my PC several time till now because I thought that I have errors, but no effect. I have steady FPS 25, my max FPS 80 (verry low for my PC). It's running with high stutter every second, i'm so upset, i can't fly like this! MY PC SPECS Win7 x64 Ultimate (Up to date) AMD Phenom II 955 BE 3.20Ghz (MAX Temp 50C) 12 GB RAM 1333mhz dual chanel ATi Radeon HD 6870 1GHZ (MAX Temp 60C) HDD Samsung 500GB HDD Samsung 320GB Audio ASUS DG 24bit 96hz 5.1 Monitor BENQ 1920x1080 24" This game worked perfectly on this PC. I have tried CFG configuration, every think you can imagine, but to no effect! PLS help me so I can fly again! THX!! Excuse my english! Have you uninstalled FS9 and re-installed? Did you defrag before re-install. Did you run the sim before add-ons and FS9 changes, Did you install FS9 Patch? after re-install what was the sim running like before making any changes? This I think would tell you alot, FS9 or system problem I am no expert, but at this junction, I would do this and see what happens. I hope you can solve the problem.
April 18, 201214 yr Author Hello Polar! Yes I have tried every think you said, clean reinstall, when I run the game for the first time every think is ok, when i start to add addons every think change. All my Aerosoft or Fly Tampa addons works OK, but my free addons from avisim don't, I have 18-19FPS on them! April 19, 201214 yr Okay then you can probably assume it is not FS9.1, try each add-on and go from there. Process of elimination. Now I will tell you that when I got this new machine of mine, I was having problems w/ a particular acrft product as a whole, not just one plane, they ran just fine in XP. Come to find out my installers were dated and hence the problem. I also found a few add-ons as you speak of, freebees which were draining memory like a hose, the so called memory leak. If you experience problems only after these add-ons, clean house and add as you nn, and place these files in a seperate folder, say eg. XXXXXX (x being your name) /FS add-on scenery. Place nothing in add-on scenery in FS9 main folder. It makes no difference where your scenery file is located, FS will find it. See what happens w/ just one scenery added. You do have FS9.1 installed as C/FS9 right? Not in program files, or (x86). Keep in touch
