  1. use this: http://ultimateoutsider.com/downloads/ , the first link GWX Control Panel, download the standalone not the installer! you will have no problem disable all win 10 annoying feature and telemetry updates. Thank me later!
  2. Hello guys! I have a Sony Vaio laptop that doesn't start if the battery is completely discharged, even if I connect the charger!! If I will charge the battery 10% in another Vaio, and then put it back in my laptop, everything is OK, it will start and it will charge the battery for itself, the problem is when the battery is completely discharged!! I have tried to turn it on with no battery and nothing! Any ideas for a sollution!?
  3. Yes I have 4gb VRAM and I also use HD Mesh v2, I'm afraid my GPU can't cope with Mesh V3. I'm saving for the upcoming GPU's from nVidia. I also have inspector set to lock the FPS at 30, never get below 30 with any plane!
  4. I love DSF, I don't have any FPS problems with this option ON!
  5. Thank you Mike, this looks amazing! I have tried mine last night, I'm glad I didn't need to pay any money because I had FSGRW bought since I've used it for FS2004, long time ago!!
  6. OMG! Everybody is talking about how great is FSGRW and no one is posting photos..........
  7. I'm using it, it's working very good!! FPS are great!
  8. If you have windows 7 Professional you will not get the little icon with win 10, only home edition get's it. NickN is not talking only about that update it has listed more updates as you can see! I will try to uninstall those updates and see the difference!
  9. Didn't know that.. Well ok, I will update after I see some positive reports, not from the beginning! I found the 2 updates, there are actually listed in the upper ones: KB 2952664, KB 2976978
  10. I don't want the update for win 10 because I don't need them right now, I will upgrade to win10, but only after SP1 is out, this is also how I did for win 7. This thread is for updates that are known to affect FSX-MS or FSX-SE by stutter or FPS hit!
  11. Thank you very much Rick! I will list them here for others, if anyone know other updates please list them here. What are the ones for windows 10? KB2952664 KB2990214 KB3021917 KB3035583 KB2977759 KB2996978 KB3022345 KB3044374 KB3068708
  12. Can we make a list with windows updates that affects FSX performance (stutters and low FPS), or updates that we don't need in our PC's. It will be very useful for all of us! Thank you very much!
  13. If you want to see how HPET influence your PC just use DPC Latency Checker, it should be a flat reading without spikes, if you see spikes that's what is giving you stutters in your games. Test this with HPET ON and OFF and see what option is giving you the most flattest reading! *-you should see some random spikes when you open a browser or running a game, but for the most part it should be a flat reading.
  14. If you search on google "hpet on or off", you will have so many topics to read that at the end of the day you still can't decide if it's best with it off or on. I've made a simple test with HPET on and HPET off and for me it's best off. One should try both options and see the difference!
  15. If you have i5 2500K or i7 2600k it's better to use this on. If you have i5 4670k or i7 4770k or 4790k it's better with this off. Remember, this HPET technology it's 10 years old, this is why you have it disabled by default in your OS and most motherboards vendors doesn't have HPET in BIOS (because it's to old)
  16. I did a research on this and it seems that if you have a modern computer (i5 or i7) you need this disabled, both in win and in bios! I've tried both disabled and it seems this is the best for me!
  17. Unusable on my monstrous PC. FPS issues, I thought I will never have FPS issues with FS9, but 20FPS in VC is unacceptable, I only fly with 30FPS in FS9 with no problems with all other products, but not this one. I've got a refund 2 days later. To bad, this is a superb plane! My system: I7-4790K OC 4.6ghz 16gb ram 1866mhz 256gb Samsung SSD only for FSX and FS9 120gb SSD for windows GTX 760 OC 4gb vram
  18. Good topic, I'm in the same boat as you... I get very confused when I see people here reporting "very smooth" and "butter smooth" experience. I've tried every possible settings with no "butter smooth" experience, only bad micro stutters!!!
  19. Change your oil and filters, pollution is a bad think!!
  20. Ok, FPS are great, but how to make P3D smooth, since i can't use half refresh rate in inspector?? How do you guys obtain a smooth experience????
  21. I have 4790k @ 4.6 very stable, 1.26V, with Corsair H110, max temp. 65C. 4790K it's a beast.
  22. Thank you for advice guys, much appreciated! I'll just use my DSLR tripod, I'm sure it will do a great job for stability, the 25x70 binos comes with tripod mount included. If you guys can recommend something better than what I have in mind, please do so, not only binoculars. I've seen some good refractor telescopes, I also like the Olivon T90 that Dazzlercee23 shared.
  23. I have a question, I want to buy binoculars for plane spotting at high altitude. What binoculars do you think is better suited for this purpose, or maybe you have something better to suggest? I want to see the livery on the planes, no need for photography, just watching planes passing by my house at 30000ft. I was thinking about Celestron SkyMaster 25X70 Thank you!
  24. Found something interesting, with hyperthreading OFF my ProcSpeed=21589
