April 7, 201214 yr Hello, wondered if anyone noticed, that when your'e coming for approach in fsx, you can start see the runway/lights clearly just about 6 miles away, even if the visibility is greater then 20 miles? why is that? can i change that? any help appreciated, thanks very much! April 7, 201214 yr LOD that FSX uses I'm guessing. It's used to save performance. -Raven HarrisIntel i7 980X @ 4.43GHz | ASUS Rampage III | Corsair 6GB DDR3 2000MHz | 3 EVGA GTX280 | Corsair 1200 Watt | Intel 510 SSD (RAID 0)PMDG - 747-400/8iF | MD11/F | BAe J41 | 737NG 6/7/8/9 Hope ER/BBJ|777LR/FFlight1- Cessna Mustang
April 8, 201214 yr Yes LOD Radius is in the FSX.cfg. Not sure how high it can go. I think default is 4, not sure haven't edited mine in a long time. Kinda got things where I wanted them then stopped edited it awhile ago. -Raven HarrisIntel i7 980X @ 4.43GHz | ASUS Rampage III | Corsair 6GB DDR3 2000MHz | 3 EVGA GTX280 | Corsair 1200 Watt | Intel 510 SSD (RAID 0)PMDG - 747-400/8iF | MD11/F | BAe J41 | 737NG 6/7/8/9 Hope ER/BBJ|777LR/FFlight1- Cessna Mustang

April 8, 201214 yr Be very careful increasing LOD, it's a huge resource hog & can easily lead to oom's, freezes, etc... Kenneth Weir My Saitek yoke mod i7 2600k @ 4.7 8GB Gskill CAS7 2x GTX580 SLI Surround + GT520 Accessory Win7x64
