Changing the Default F/A-18

Featured Replies

Is there a procedure by which I can make the Sludge F/A-18 the default airplane in the place of the original FA-18 provided in the Acceleration add-on?

Second: In the F/A-18 carrier tutorials, I can add Javier's Nimitz to the environment and transpose my airplane to it from the default carrier; however, the added Nimitz carrier appears dead in the water. How can I get it under way?

I am figuring this all out one step at a time. Thanks in advance.

By downloading and installing the sludge updates to the default Accel FA18 you have made the sludge FA18 the default aircraft.

I know of no way to make Javier's carrier move so I can not help you on that one.

For the Nimitz to be in motion, you'll have to go with a couple of missions in multiplayer -

From the VTS Superbug FSX forum - "There are 2 carrier missions for MP by Orion Lyau, called San Diego NATOPS Carrier mission, and SF Carrier 2.5. this is Orion's own website, where you can get them: http://orion.frostysoftware.com/. For SF Carrier 2.5, you'll need the original SF Carrier 2, as 2.5 is just an update, and it can be found here http://www.strikingsoftware.com/forum/index.php?topic=1361.0, the original thread by Orion."

Also, I HIGHLY recommend getting the VRS Superbug for FSX - best versionm of the F/A-18E out there....worth every penny!
