April 11, 201214 yr Hello guys, I've flown this tutorial many times and every time "I" program the route (...hopefully according to the tutorial), I have this issue at the RTT NDB. Screen shots attached. When I load Ryan's saved start-up points, I don't get this issue so I am confuffulated as to what pilot interface error is.... For enquiring minds, when I fly this, the aircraft enters a strange hold (or is it?), the magenta line disappears, then I have to do a direct to the OEV in order to continue. So can anyone tell me what am I doing wrong please? BTW I am using AIRAC 1113 A thousand thank yous! Richie Lumsden
April 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member Wonder if the Navdata changed and it's messed up there now... I wrote the tutorial using the original 1108 navdata. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
April 11, 201214 yr Is Ryan doing an update with the tutorial, errors fixed etc, not complaining just want to know as I'm new and see there's been a few issues I'd rather do it for the first time when the tutorial is error free. April 11, 201214 yr Author I do think it's the Nav data. Is there any way I can roll back to 1108 witout having to re-install the NGX just to see if that is the cause? Richie Lumsden
April 11, 201214 yr I'm using AIRAC 1204 and dont see that issue at all. Can you show us page 6/9 as to what follows the INTC? EDIT: I only have 8 pages with the route loaded.
April 11, 201214 yr Can't spot where it's coming from, from my pics you'll see the TRACK210, INTC 254, OEV21. Your entries from the two posts, TRACK210, INTC 074, OEV21 There are also two BYPASS entries showing in your entry, again not sure from where these originate.
April 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member The bypasses are there because the plane can't make the turns within the normal flyby waypoint limits... Can you post the LLZ26 approach from your FSX\PMDG\SIDSTARS\LOWI.txt file? This is what mine looks like with 1204: APPROACH LLZ26 FIX OEV21 9500 FIX OEV19 9500 FIX OEV17 AT OR ABOVE 8700 FIX OEV14 AT OR ABOVE 7500 FIX OEV09 AT OR ABOVE 5500 FIX OVERFLY 63OEV 4505 RNW 26 FIX OVERFLY OEV01 AT OR ABOVE 4505 TURN LEFT DIRECT FIX ABNB FIX OEV14 FIX RTTNB 9500 HOLD AT FIX RTTNB RIGHT TURN INBOUNDCOURSE 226 ALT 9500 LEGTIME 1 TRANSITION RTT FIX RTTNB AT OR ABOVE 9500 TRK 210 INTERCEPT RADIAL 254 TO FIX OEV21 Is Ryan doing an update with the tutorial, errors fixed etc, not complaining just want to know as I'm new and see there's been a few issues I'd rather do it for the first time when the tutorial is error free. Wayne Hart. The only major error is the page 118 thing that's stickied at the top of the NGX forum. Everything else is just minor typos etc as far as I know. There will be fixes made but not until SP2. No reason at all not to fly it now as long as you remember the page 118 thing. April 12, 201214 yr Author Thanks to Stephen (who has AIRAC 1204 as well), I think I may have one of the issues.... My last entry TRANSITION RTT FIX RTTNB AT OR ABOVE 9500 TRK 210 INTERCEPT RADIAL 254 FROM FIX OEV21 Your last entry says TRANSITION RTT FIX RTTNB AT OR ABOVE 9500 TRK 210 INTERCEPT RADIAL 254 TO FIX OEV21 I have not had a chance to change it or update, but could this minor word difference be the cause of all things weird? EDIT :- I've noticed there are lots of other differences...maybe I just need an new AIRAC? Cheers. Richie Lumsden
April 12, 201214 yr That minor 'FROM' instead of 'TO' could indeed make the difference. The 210 track out of RTT won't intercept the 254 radial out of OEV21 otherwise.
April 16, 201214 yr Author Just to let you guys know, I have downloaded Airac 1204 and all is back to normal. Many thanks for your help. Richie Lumsden
April 16, 201214 yr Commercial Member Yeah the problem is definitely that TO/FROM thing - I've seen this in other spots too before. Nothing we can do about it unfortunately - we only do what the Navdata tells us to. Ryan MaziarzFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
