PMDG JS4100 Reinstall Problems

Featured Replies

If anyone can assist, please.

I had to un-instal the JS4100 from my machine where the OS is WIN 7 HP 64 bit as I was having issues with the fuel load facility, so I assumed perhaps some of the files had got currupted.

Where if I changed the fuel quantity it would reset itself back to 100% for some un-known reason, most strange. I did run my MS Security Essentials & Malwarebytes anti-virus (up to date) on full scans just incase, but nothing was found just in case.

I used via control panel programs & features to un-instal. All okay there.

Before I installed I had to remove the Instal Shield files, because if I did not then the plane would not instal correctly (files missing, etc), I had this same problem when re-installing the Aerosoft DHC-6 some time recently.

Once installed I then re-placed the install shield files back in their folder.

I was never asked for the product activation code number on reinstall of the JS4100 to my system.

So I thought all was well, the files all seem to be there, etc. I can see the planes (JS4100) if I want to select them.

When I now try to select the JS4100 aircraft it tries to load for a few seconds (around 15) then causes FSX to crash ever time, then it re-loads FSX. I have never had that before.

All other FSX aircraft MS & payware I have all load okay, can any one assist, as I do miss not being able to use this great aircraft. Has anyone else had this similar problem. Could not seem to find this in forum, can't find the prop area so I placed here.

Just to inform all that my PC OS was corrupted it would seem, I ran SFC & it found some issues which it repaired okay.

I did not raise a ticket, only un-installed the JS4100 again & then re-installed it okay plus addon aircrafts.

All now running okay. Back using the BA, BMI & MANX variants around UK with this great aircraft.

Sorry about typo with browser of course it should be bowser.

Thanks to all, Mike in UK.

P.S. Have tried FLIGHT it reminds me of FLIGHT UNLIMITED II with limited area coverage, happy days. Its not for me though.
