April 14, 200422 yr I was wondering how the flight dynamics are on these planes? These planes are only $5 so it's not a big loss if I don't like it, but I want to hear what others think of these planes before I buy.
April 15, 200422 yr The previous MD-80s had very good dynamics that were with fsds1 but I haven't bought tbe new ones from G-Max so I don't know. I would like realistic FDEs with the FFX's MD-80s which I use for free. There not as realistic looking but they are free. I hope someone will create an MD-80 like Project Opensky or Freeware Flight Group. That would be awesome to have real FDEs and realistic looking planes.
April 15, 200422 yr I've got it and the dynamics are actually quite good. You'll need a panel, but there's some good ones in the files section. I've had mine so long I forget which one it is or I'd tell you. :-(billg
April 15, 200422 yr Thanks guys :-)I have the FFX MD-80's and I don't like those flight dynamics. When I extend the flaps fully to land the nose of the plane points down so much it looks like it's going to nose dive into the ground.
April 15, 200422 yr Author I like the Van's MD80s a lot. They look really good and fly really well. I've had the best success with Leon Seale's adaptations for FS2004 of the Paul Golding blue MD80 and tan MD87 panels. They work well and have everything you need on them including TCAS.Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
April 15, 200422 yr I know what you mean about the FDE on FFX MD-80s I hope there will be a fix to this. I just don't like diving in like that myself. MD-80s seem to need quite a bit of throttle landing and if you have that much throttle on the FFX MD-80s you will for sure miss your glidescope and have to dive in. Perhaps someone from Kittyhawk that is doing the 737-700 can redue the FDE for the most current MD-80s that Eric Cantu did back in January. Otherwise I might persue the Vans MD-80 if the flight dynamics is accurate. By the way does any one know if the site is secure with https:// for purchasing? Also is there any MD-80 pilots in this forum that can tell us what the real flight dynamics are like flying this aircraft? I am just curious.Thank You,
