April 13, 201214 yr Would someone be kind enough to tell me where the error files are located for fsx ? I cannot see anything in event viewer. Thanks. Apologies for 3 posts, computer keeps freezing .....
April 13, 201214 yr The Event Viewer contains information about errors for everything, not just FSX. When you open up the Event Viewer, open up the Custom Views>Administrative Events. Look for an error that occurred about the same time as each crash. It may or may not reference FSX. If you had an Exception error with something like 0x00000005, that indicates you had a Memory Exception and the frequency/voltages may not be correct. Go into the BIOS and fix and set the frequency/voltages based on the info under the SPD tab for the CPU-Z. Are you getting a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death)? Most of those are memory or CPU voltage problems too but I would need to see the STOP code first. Good luck! Best regards, Jim
