April 15, 201214 yr Why is it in Carenado planes that when u switch between fuel tanks the engine will start to die then restart? This seems to be a bug that has gone unfixed for a long time. My Archer, V35, and C210 all have this problem. How are u guys switching tanks? Maybe I am doing something wrong. Matt Wilson
April 16, 201214 yr You mean that turn over fuel tank selector? Yes, that's a known one. It also starts in the fictional 'all' setting until you touch it. So either leave it that way (all tanks run down at the same rate) or live with the sort of dieing engine when switching, that's what I do. Me too hopes that future planes will come with a correct switch order. The graphics are correct in the VC, the movement of the actual switch just happens to be 'off' in between the left and right tanks. Funny, sort of.
April 16, 201214 yr Author Thanks for your response. Its just sad they can't fix this problem. If I don't touch the selector on the v35 it will draw from both tanks but the 210 won't. When I load the plane it won't start unless I choose between the left or right tanks. Any ideas? Matt Wilson
April 16, 201214 yr Sorry, I don't have the 210. I thought that all behave sort of the same, but they obviously don't. Just guessing, but maybe one the xml code guys around can help since the fuel gauge is just that, a gauge. Maybe someone can tweak it. Otherwise you would have to live with the need for the gauge check and switch. I like that I 'have' to switch it on the V35, but, same as you, I don't like the short engine death in between. Annoyance that is.
