April 23, 200422 yr I am looking into buying some new airport scenery and I am torn between the two.I definately like the FlyTampa San Diego Scenery but I also like the Las Vegas Scenery from Simflyers. In addition, if I go with Simflyers I can get 2 sceneries for only about $5-$7 more then just one FLyTampa Scenery.Any opinions on the two?? Pro, COns, thoughts..?Thx!!:) Ark -------------------------- I9 9900K @ 5ghz / 32GB G.Skill (Samsung B) / Aorus Master Mobo / EVGA GTX 2080Ti FTW 3
April 23, 200422 yr You'll diffidently enjoy the Fly Tampa scenery allot more. At the end of the day it all boils down to framerates. Simflyer's still hasn't figured out how to create scenery that doesn't pose a serious hit on framerates. Simflyers scenery may look great but you'll diffidently have somewhat of a slide show coming in for a landing at KLAS. On the flip side Fly Tampa's San Diego offers little or no framerate hit over the default scenery, plus you don't find autogen missing around the airport for miles (this is not the case for all Simflyer's scenery but they all have somewhat of a framerate hit)... Simflyers is currently making improvements with the rework their planning on older scenery but at this time I would take Fly Tampa's offerings over the latter. So either you like a fluid sim experience or the ability to take cool photos to show your friends, it's all your choice... April 24, 200422 yr I have Fly Tampa's KMIA Miami and KSAN San Diego airports and love them ! They are very detailed and look great and are VERY frame rate friendly even with full AI-Traffic. I also have the Simflyers World Airports with the FS2004 upadate and as ppl above have said the Fly Tampa sceneries are more fps friendly. I also like the Simflyers sceneries but wished they would make them as fps friendly as the Fly Tampa sceneries are. I normally get around 4fps everything maxed at Simflyers KATL, KEWR, KJFK and so on but when at Fly Tamp KMIA or KSAN I get over 15fps.if you have to choose then I would go for Fly Tampa sceneries.Jani
