Oh Bruce, You should have seen the AMA race last night at Road Atlanta!!!

2 riders battling for lead with 6 to go and come together, Blake Young goes down HARD @ about 140mph but was wearing the new airbag suit that deployed and he got back up (really sore after laying on the track for a few minutes). In AMA the rule is if you cause a red flag you are allowed to continue racing but you have to do it on the same bike that went down with same tires and start dead last on the grid... So his crew gets the bike running, he starts last and on on the restart goes from 17th to 7th and over the next 3 or 4 laps picks off the rest of the field to battle for the lead on the last 2 laps and win it practically on the last corner. One of the most unreal rides I have EVER seen in my life. Being described as monumental and possibly the best ever. From battling for the lead to hard crash to dead last back to the lead and win in 6 laps!

I don't think I took a breath for the last 6 laps and was literally leaning into every corner with them... Might have even had the knee out LOL!

Glad you enjoyed!

Paul - I can see where one might get hooked on it!

I did a track day at Road Atlanta in about 2000. I forget who the instructor was, but he was pretty well known (might have been someon'es son). I had a ZRX 1100 at the time with an Eddie Lawson lime green paint. I only went because 2 riding buddies were signed up.

Got to where I could negotiate those narrow western NC mountain roads pretty good (lived in Brevard, NC at the time), but I scared myself everytime I went out. I finally went back to riding Sportsters. Now that I'm back in Colorado I'm hustling my 1200 Roadster up and down the mountains raising some eyebrows every now and then. At 74 I am slowing down though.
