April 22, 201214 yr I usualy don't post much outside of the livery availability thread since I spend so much of my time painting and posting there. I do take a break and fly every once in a while. I thought I would share some of these screen grabs I took flying from Lubbock, TX (KLBB) to Houston Hobby (KHOU). I decided to fly my Braniff Orange livery and it was a late afternoon arrival. While FSX does not take advantage of all the high end graphics that other games enjoy, it's amazing how well it can look based on the technology used. I was using real world weather, but it was a clear day. April 22, 201214 yr Author Super Steve and nice repaints you have been turning out I know they are huge time consumers well one. Regards Thanks Rich! The painting and tinkering is relaxing for me and is a good hobby as well. All the NGX models fly very well and the shots above are not meant to single out the -600, but to reflect how much fun any model is to fly. I know a lot of people have different machines with different graphics capabilities. While DX10 does make very nice water, I promarily fly DX9. I just posted the shots to show what detail is capable with the NGX and FSX. It's a great looking airframe. Steve StubbsUSAF (retired)
April 23, 201214 yr I flew on a Braniff flight one time.. It was back in 1969 when they were using all the weird mostly solid colors for their planes.. Took a "baby doo-doo" green 727 from Kansas City downtown to the brand spanking new Houston Intercontinental airport. I remember he greased the landing on that brand new runway. Hardly felt it at all. Mark Keith
