Problem with the "Controls-Sensitivities Advanced" setting for CH Pro pedals in FS9.

Featured Replies

I recently installed Microsoft FS9 and the 9.1.0.40929.01 update in a new Acer desktop computer w/ Windows 7 Home Premium. My problem is with the "Controls-Sensitivities Advanced" setting for pedals in FS9. I'm using a CH Flight Sim Yoke [uSB] and CH Pro Pedals [uSB]. I've configured the CH yoke and pedals in the "Settings-Sensitivities-Controls-Sensitivities" window using the "Advanced" option [instead of "Simple"] and clicked the "OK" button. When I return to the "Settings-Sensitivities-Controls-Sensitivities" window the configuration for the yoke is "Advanced", but the pedals configuration remains "Simple" instead of "Advanced". I've made repeated unsuccessful attempts to change the pedal sensitivity configuration to "Advanced". The "Advanced Senstitivity" pedal setting is necessary in order to prevent "toe-brakes sticking/locking" which occurs when the flight simulator is activated. The advanced sensitivity pedal settings I use are settings recommended by CH techs: http://www.chproducts.com/retail/knowledge_base.html http://206.170.119.13/novo/default.asp?id=396&Lang=1&SID=

For about a year I've been using FS9 installed on a portable Seagate hardrive coupled to a Acer laptop w/ Windows 7 and the CH Yoke and Pro Pedals work fine with the advanced sensitivity settings.

Any help or advice regarding the FS9 "Controls-Sensitivities Advanced" setting would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried assigning your controls through FSUIPC?

The only default assignment I keep is for the pans.

Hi Geddy:

Yes, I thought about using FSUIPC, but my copy is currrently un-registered, which I believe is not functional for configuring controllers. Perhaps I have to consider registering my FSUIPC copy if other solutions don't materialize . . .?

Thanks for your suggestion.

I second the suggestion to use FSUIPC. Pay for a registration key and asign everything through that.

The advantage is not only do you get greater control, but you can have different assignment/ sinsitivities for different aircraft.

Hi psculte:

I'll follow your's and Geddy's advice and register my FSUIPC, then I'll test it and report back.

Many thanks for your input!

Hi Geddy, psculte and Rafal:

My sincere thanks for your suggestions to use FSUIPC as a resolution for my problem with FS9 "Controls-Sensitivities Advanced" settings for my CH Pro Pedals. My apologies for the delay in reporting back. I purchased a registration key for FSUIPC V3.999, and I'm delighted to report--after configuring the yoke and pedals in FSUIPC--that my sticking toe brakes problem has disappeared! I'm still doing some tweaking with the aileron & elevator settings for the yoke, but the brakes are now working properly!

Thanks again for your help in resolving a frustrating problem!
