simple real world European routes

Featured Replies

Hey all,

As I said in my other topic, my PC doesnt handle big airports like Heathrow, Gatwick Amsterdam etc very well!

It is flyable but not a great experience. I would be very happy flying routes between smaller low traffic airports which are flown in the real world across Europe. Could anybody suggest some good routes?

For example, flying out of Rhodes airport gives me great FPS and beautiful scenery!

Thanks

you can fly stansted, to dublin, i love stansted and uk2000 are very good with fps, you can also fly smaller airport near the big airport, for instance: EDDM= EDDN, EGLL=EGSS. i hope this helps.

There is a lot of great Greek airports. flyTampa LOWW is also relatively easy on FPS. And you may try and use some of the small Hungarian airports from LHScenery team.

Thanks a lot guys :) I am flying very lonely skies with AI traffic off, are there any ways to remove the feeling of being on my own? for example, does the FS2 crew addon make it feel like there is stuff actually going in? It can be a bit stale without AI traffic but I'd rather have the extra FPS! (does fs2crew effect fps at all?)

Cheers

Hey Luke, yes fs2crew does help you to feel like things are going on in the plane/cockpit, such as FA announcement, boarding sound etc etc.. in the end of the day' you will always feel alone without traffic with you. to make things more fun and accurate, i would really recommend start flying at network, such as vatsim and IVAO (although i would recommend vatsim) and set the traffic to low resolution. then you will never ever feel alone. Thanks Daniel I will do that. Does VATSIM with low res graphics effect the FPS? I am a bit reluctant to try VATSIM yet as I am still quite a new to the aircraft, I couldn't juggle that + Vatsim coms! I think in a few months I'll put an i5 2500k in there!

if you can afford, buy, i am absolutely happy that i bought a new rig, such a great experience, as for vatsim, it does lower you frame, remmember that it works on Internet, though the hit on the frame isn't big. as for the "new to the aircraft" that's not big deal, i see every day some new fallows at vatsim, if you won't start, you will always won't be good enough for vatsim as you have never tried. do me a favour, and do not wait anymore.
