Compiling to .CAB

Recommended Posts

While working on an aircraft repaint of which the texture installer requires the files to be packed in .CAB format (and then just renamed to something else) I got stuck in the .CAB compiling.

Its about the SSTSim FS2004 Concorde the instructions of which are in the downloadable paint kit here http://sstsim.com/re...es/repaints.php

The instruction say :

Compile both files into a CAB file and then open a Command Prompt, which we

will use to rename the CAB file into a REP file, for use with the SSTSIM Texture

Installer.

How can I compile in to .CAB filetype ?

I found this but still have no idea about .NET and C++

Any help would be appreciated !

It isn't actually necessary to compile into a .cab

Just put everything into a single directory with or without sub directories.

It works just as well.

Um, yes it is necessary for the intended purpose of the CAB file. This is describing an unusual way to package texture files, and has nothing whatever to do with XML gauge scripts and bitmaps!
